For 2026, the VFA Harrisonburg Meet is set for Friday January 23 starting at Noon through Sunday January 25 Noon. The NEW Hotel is
Village Inn Harrisonburg: take Interstate 81 exit 243, go south on Rt 11 one mile, Village Inn is on the left. Make reservations for 6 pm Saturday dinner by sending an RSVP email to the virginiafalconersassociation@gmail. Dinner will be Buffet Style at the Hotel and the menu is
Fried chicken, brown sugar and garlic baked chicken, roasted & sliced pork loin, fried clam stripes, mashed potatoes & gravy, baked mac & cheese, green beans, seasonal vegetables, this menu will also come with salad bar and dessert table for 26.99 per person (not including tax and tips).
A raffle of falconry items will follow dinner.

Falconry Group Picture Saturday at 8AM followed by Q&A Presentation.
This year our Harrisonburg meet will be hosted at a new venue. The Village Inn Harrisonburg. The Inn is located about a mile south on Rt 11 from our previous location. We have chosen to move the location as this facility has a dining room for the banquet at
Please reserve early so we can get the rooms grouped together the extent possible.
At this meet, the falconry activity centers around forming small groups of 3-8 people and going out to various properties in the region to hunt our birds. Having a gathering point allows to find each other and facilitate this organizing. Friday the early arrivals will meet up at the Village Inn Hotel and go out hunting. For Friday, no formal dinner plans. Saturday morning, by the pool and at 8AM, we will meet outside for a group photo then break out into groups to hunt. (At the Village Inn, a falconry Q&A will be held outside for interested public after the group picture). Hunts can last from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on location, so during the day individuals will trickle back to the hotel, regroup and head back out. By noon on Sunday, we will be packed up and out of the way. You need to RSVP for Saturday dinner (menu above) by sending an email to [email protected] .
A single queen room $69 per night and for Two Queen beds $79. Pets are allowed a $15 Charge in the room. Keeping birds in the car is fine.
The banquet Saturday night will also be graciously hosted at the Hotel Restaurant. The space is not normally open for dinner so we will have the dining room to our selves. This space is also available after the lunch service 2pm for club members to gather.

2026 February VFA Meet
is on February 20, 21 and 22, 2026. Location: Hunting Reserve Dillwyn, Virginia. It's a 2400 acre reserve and it is located halfway between Richmond and Roanoke (an hour west of Richmond). Other hunting properties are close by. The Star Hotel is in town and camping is also available. More information to follow.
